Would that Life Were Like This for All of Us

I was enjoying reading this book until I came across its advice to "find out exactly what area will help you change your life into what you want it to be." Well, duh! Easier said than done! What if you've been laid-off, out of work for more than a year, are over 50, and are seriously wondering how you're going to keep your house out of foreclosure? If I knew the answers -- what would really change my life -- I wouldn't be in this situation. As I read further, I was less than encouraged by many of the case studies because they were from people who were already pretty empowered: a pediatric nurse, a well-connected writer, etc. Luck is an important factor in our success, and this book presumes that it doesn't matter all that much.
