too much work

i'm always attracted to books like this after years of living with chronic back pain. but i'd like to know how i'm supposed to get the focus. pain drains me of energy and it's all i can do to keep my life on track and hang onto my job. drugs can be great because you just TAKE them and don't have to work to get your brain around the rotten break you have.

IT ISN'T THAT THE METHODS IN THIS BOOK ARE 'TOO MUCH WORK.' IT'S THAT MOST PEOPLE WHO EXPERIENCE CHRONIC PAIN GET INTO PRESCRIPTION DRUGS VERY QUICKLY, AND THEY FEEL SO GOOD THAT NOTHING ELSE COMPARES. WE HAVE A TOXIC DRUG CULTURE IN THIS COUNTRY THAT SAYS A MAGIC PILL IS THE SOLUTION FOR EVERYTHING.
