Hard to believe this really happened

I'm a big fan of true crime and I'm surprised I didn't hear about this case before. It should be better known. Zeigler is obviously innocent and the only reason he was convicted is because the Florida sheriffs who investigated the murder set out to frame him and mishandled evidence. I wonder why this case doesn't cause more outrage, when Zeigler is still on death row.

What's going on with this case?
Does anybody know what's going on? Ziegler's been on death row over 30 years -- are there still appeals? Has he been spared the death sentence or are they still planning to execute him? How can someone be on death row for 30 years -- it's crazy.
