A Life Larger than Pain

A Life Larger than Pain

The Pathway from Resignation to Renewal

by: Erv Hinds, M.D.

A book that draws on the interrelationship of mind, body, and spirit to break the cycle of physical and emotional pain.

"A book that relates spirituality and medical procedures with integrity....Dr. Hinds' knowledge not only of Western medicine, but also of legitimate insights from Oriental and Native American approaches to pain, make this a book worth reading, worth buying."

—James G. Emerson, Jr. Ph.D.
Past Interim President, San Francisco Theological Seminary

"Dr. Hinds' book has quickly become required reading for all of the physicians trained in my program. No other source provides this valuable perspective...one not understood by most physicians treating pain. That is why it's a must read for anyone who suffers with pain or knows someone suffering."

—Kevin Pauza, M.D.
Chairman of Education and Standards, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

"[Dr. Hinds'] audience is everyone, those hurting, those who remember hurting and those who worry about hurting in the future"

—Rev. Sylvia M. Casberg, D.Min
